Travel Site Webpage

GOAL

Because this group actually owns and runs many of the sites in the Holy Land, we wanted to highlight their greater access to these places. The most questions they get asked is also about safety because people are constantly hearing about violence in Israel in the news. Needing to address those things on their website, the client agreed to add one more webpage to address safety and share their ability to gain access to holy sites. Both on one page isn’t ideal, but since they were allowing us to add a page, we took the small win.

CONCEPT

When someone clicks on the new icon/shortcut we added to the home page, it takes them to a page that explains the Franciscans’ relationship to the area and many of the significant holy sites. Below that is a list of the places on their tour that are actually owned and operated by their own guides. And below the list of significant sites, I added a button to view upcoming pilgrimages—all the trips list itineraries with a rundown of the significant sites they’ll visit on the trip.

Below the list, I added a section to address all the safety concerns the tour representatives field from travelers. As a part of addressing concerns, we hired a camera crew and I interviewed people who’ve been on the tour to ask them about safety and how they felt on their trip. From those interviews, I edited multiple clips (about safety and trip testimonial in general). I added a clip about safety in its own section below the text. And below that, we added more videos about the trip in general, followed by multiple testimonial quotes from travelers. There are other links within the site that also bring people to these testimonials.
